About Velosona

Velosona is hands-free voice control for ultrasound. The person holding the probe talks; Velosona moves the controls — gain, depth, focus, time-gain (near, middle and far), presets — so their hands stay on the probe and their eyes stay on the picture.

It learns how each person talks. “Brighter”, “punch it up”, “I can’t see the bottom” mean different amounts to different people; a quick “perfect”, “too much” or “not enough” teaches Velosona what each person means.

Velosona also opens a whole-body 3D scan — fat, muscle, bone and organs — explains it in plain words, and books scan visits straight into your Google Calendar.

Gain, depth, focus, near / middle / far brightness and exam presets — lung, cardiac, abdomen and more — change the moment you say so. Answers are short: “Gain 60.” “Depth 12 centimetres.” “Cardiac preset.”

BUILT FOR THE NEW ULTRASOUND

Handheld probes and full-body 3D scans

Velosona is built to work with handheld ultrasound probes whose makers offer a developer kit for their controls — Butterfly Network’s probe is the first we are building for. Its Body Scan side is built for the new full-body 3D ultrasound scans, like the scanner Midjourney Medical has announced: the same voice, viewer and tools are ready for that kind of result.

Velosona is a control and viewing tool, not a diagnostic device — it never says whether anything is normal or abnormal. Today it is demonstrated with public teaching clips and a sample scan from a public dataset while probe access is arranged. Velosona is independent and is not affiliated with Butterfly Network or Midjourney.
